Glenorchy and the Routeburn Track

After a night in Te Anau, we headed north through Queenstown to stay in Glenorchy.

Jaime decided that sleeping in a drawer space was more inviting than a bed for two nights. Sometimes you just don't argue with a four year old!

Our second overnight hike was on the Routeburn Track. We walked in to the Routeburn Flats Hut, stayed the night and then walked out the following day.

The scenery was stunning as was the clarity of water. The photo on the right below is actually a stream with crystal clear water.
We made it to the Flats!
 Complete with snow capped mountains.
After an afternoon playing the river we walked a further 45min to check out the view of the valley.
Breakfast. morning hugs and bed hair!
 A stunning morning walking out.
